How long does the walk take?
The Walk for Health trail is 2km long. On average, it takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete the trail. However, feel free to walk or run at your own pace. These trails are not exclusive and are open to the general public. Therefore please be mindful and keep to the right, allowing people to pass to avoid on-coming congestion.
What happens if it rains?

In the event of bad weather, please check our website or contact Edith edith.lam@carefirstontario.ca or 416-847-6007 for updated information. The event may be rescheduled in extreme weather conditions.
Where can I find emergency assistance?

In the event of an emergency or should you be unable to complete the walk, there are volunteers and St. John Ambulance marshals on the routes to provide assistance as needed.
Can I still attend the event if I did not register as a walker?

Absolutely! On Event Day, there will be many exciting activities to enjoy including a charity bazaar, workshops, games, performances, nutritional cooking demonstrations, health screening and information booths, and much more! Cheer on friends at the finish line!
My elderly parents are not able to walk, but they would still like to participate in some way. How can they be involved?
That’s great!  We encourage them to make a general donation to support Carefirst’s social, health care and supportive services. Alternatively, they can donate by supporting friends doing the walk. Most importantly, SPREAD THE WORD. Share our dream with family and friends, and invite them to join our journey to raise $6 million towards the One-Stop Access Multi-Services Centre. They can also enjoy the many activities on Event Day.

Are donations refundable?
Sorry, all donations are non-refundable.
